fascia stretch therapy.
the flagship modality - and the foundation
Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) is a table-based, assisted stretching system designed to work directly with the fascial system — the connective tissue web that surrounds and connects every muscle, joint, and nerve in your body. Unlike conventional stretching, which targets muscle length, FST works with the fascia itself: releasing the bound, restricted tissue that keeps you stiff, painful, and stuck, no matter how much you stretch on your own.
At Remedy Bodywork, PAQO brings over a decade of hands-on experience and a Level 3 FST certification to every session. FST is the cornerstone of his practice — and the modality most responsible for the results his clients experience after years of searching for a lasting solution.
how it works
During an FST session, you comfortably lie clothed on a cushy and sometimes heated treatment table. PAQO guides your body through a series of assisted stretches — some passive, some active — that systematically work through the fascial lines running throughout your body. Using a patented system of movement based on anatomical lines of fascia, he identifies where restriction lives, works into it gradually, and helps your nervous system release the holding patterns it has built up over years of injury, compensation, and stress.
The experience is often described as deeply satisfying — a progressive unwinding that reaches places you've never been able to access on your own. Most clients notice a measurable difference in range of motion and a significant reduction in pain and tension within their first session.
what makes fst different.
Most stretching works against the body's protective reflexes — which is exactly why aggressive stretching often leads to more tightness, not less. FST works with those reflexes, using gentle traction and precise movement to create space in the joint and signal the nervous system that it's safe to let go. The result is a quality of release that foam rolling, yoga, and self-stretching simply cannot replicate.
PAQO's decade-plus specialization in chronic injuries and bound tissue means he approaches each session as a diagnostic process, not just a protocol. He's working to understand the specific pattern of restriction in your body — where it started, how it's compensating, and what will actually move the needle for your mobility and your life.
who benefits
FST is particularly effective for active adults dealing with:
Chronic pain that has outlasted its original cause
Frozen shoulder and severely restricted shoulder mobility
Sciatica and hip-driven low back pain
Limited trunk rotation affecting sport performance
Post-surgical recovery that has plateaued
Full-body stiffness and inflexibility that doesn't respond to conventional stretching or massage therapy
Old injuries that never fully resolved
If you've been told your tightness is just part of getting older — or that you need to learn to live with it — an FST session with PAQO is likely to change that perspective.
What to expect
Most clients notice meaningful improvement within one to three sessions. For chronic, long-standing issues — the kind that have been building for months, years, or even decades — PAQO works with each client to understand their history and goals, and to build a session cadence that makes sense for where their body is right now.
